TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER
Notice of Temporary Prohibition and Restriction of Through Traffic Order
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 – Section 14
Various Roads in Wrexham
The Wrexham County Borough Council intends not sooner than seven days from the 8 May 2008 to make an Order which will impose temporary prohibitions and restrictions along the lengths of road within Wrexham in the County Borough of Wrexham as specified in the Schedule to this Notice.
The reason for the temporary prohibitions and restrictions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads and because of the likelihood of danger to the public in order to enable Wales and West Utilities Limited to undertake gas main renewals.
For the duration of the works any existing Prohibition and Restriction and One-Way Order may be suspended or imposed on the roads scheduled below and on any alternative route as and when required. These will only be imposed following consultation.
The alternative route available will be signposted accordingly. Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the period of prohibitions and restrictions. Access will be maintained throughout the period of prohibitions and restrictions for emergency vehicles.
This Order will come into force on the 2 June 2008. It is anticipated that the works may require each road to be prohibited or restricted for a period of time as part of a gradual programme of works and the total period of time in which the works are anticipated to be undertaken is 12 weeks, or until the earlier completion of the works, subject to a maximum period of 18 months.

Various Roads in the County Borough
The Wrexham County Borough Council intends not sooner than seven days from the 1 May 2008 to make an Order which will impose temporary prohibitions and restrictions along the lengths of road within the County Borough of Wrexham as specified in the Schedule to this Notice.
The reason for the temporary prohibitions and restrictions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads and because of the likelihood of danger to the public in order to enable Wrexham County Borough Council to undertake carriageway repairs and surface dressing works.
For the duration of the works any existing Prohibition and Restriction and One-Way Order may be suspended or imposed on the roads scheduled below and on any alternative route as and when required. These will only be imposed following consultation.
The alternative route available will be signposted accordingly. Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the period of prohibitions and restrictions. Access will be maintained throughout the period of prohibitions and restrictions for emergency vehicles.
This Order will come into force on the 19 May 2008. It is anticipated that the works may require each road to be prohibited or restricted for a period of time as part of a gradual programme of works and the total period of time in which the works are anticipated to be undertaken is 20 weeks, or until the earlier completion of the works, subject to a maximum period of 18 months.

Notice is hereby given that the Order made by Wrexham County Borough Council on 17 October 2007, the effect of which is to prohibit any pedestrian from using that part of the western spur of Public Footpath Number 29 in the Community of Coedpoeth in the County Borough of Wrexham from grid reference SJ 2912 5138, in a northwesterly direction for a distance of approximately 116 metres to Talwrn Road at grid reference SJ 2908 5149, has been continued in force with the approval of the National Assembly for Wales up to and including 21 October 2008 or earlier, if the works in progress have been completed.
The alternative route available for pedestrians will be to proceed from Public Footpath Number 29 in the Community of Coedpoeth in the County Borough of Wrexham at grid reference SJ 2912 5138, in a northeasterly direction along the eastern spur of Public Footpath Number 29 and Adwy Lane for a distance of approximately 128 metres to Talwrn Road at grid reference SJ 2913 5150, then in a westerly direction for a distance of approximately 53 metres to grid reference SJ 2908 5149, a total distance of approximately 181 metres.

On 21 April 2008, Wrexham County Borough Council confirmed the above Order made under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980.
The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert the Public Footpath described in Part 1 of the Schedule to this Notice to a line described in Part 2 of the Schedule to this Notice.
A copy of the Order as confirmed and the Order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at the Guildhall, Wrexham and the Post Office, New Road, New Broughton, LL11 6SY during normal office/opening hours. Notice of an application for the registration of land as a Town or Village Green
To every reputed owner, lessee, tenant or occupier of any part of the land described below, and to all others whom it may concern.
Application has been made to Wrexham County Borough Council, The Guildhall, Wrexham, LL11 1AY by Mrs G Williams, 21 Wat’s Dyke Way, Garden Village, Wrexham, LL11 2TG under Section 15(1) of the Commons Act 2006 and in accordance with the Commons (Registration of Town or Village Greens) (Interim Arrangements) (Wales) Regulations 2007 (“the 2007 Regulations”). The application seeks the inclusion in the register of town and village greens of the land described in the Schedule below which is claimed to have qualified for registration as a town or village green on 5 February 2008 by virtue that a significant number of inhabitants of the locality have indulged as of right in lawful sports and pastimes on the land for a period of at least 20 years and continue to do so.
The application, which includes a plan of the land proposed for registration may be inspected at the offices of Wrexham County Borough Council, The Guildhall, Wrexham, LL11 1AY between 9.00 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays). Copies of this document may also be inspected by prior arrangement with the Clerk to Rhosddu Community Council.
If the registration authority is satisfied that the land described below qualifies for registration as a town or village green, it will so register the land.

(20 MPH Zone) Order 2008
The Wrexham County Borough Council propose to make an Order under Section 84(1), 84(2) and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be that no person shall drive any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding twenty miles per hour on the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this Notice.
The proposed Order will revoke The County Borough of Wrexham (Maes Isaf, Y Fron and Plas Hafan, Johnstown) (20 MPH Zone) Order 2008 to the extent that it relates to the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to the Order.
A copy of the proposed Order and a copy of the Order to be revoked, together with a map showing the lengths of road to which the proposed Order relates and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be examined at Crown Buildings, Chester Street, Wrexham and the Post Office, Merlin Street, Johnstown during normal office/opening hours.
Objections to the proposed Order, together with grounds on which they are made, should be sent in writing to the undersigned by 2nd May 2008.

To all residents of Acrefair, Cefn Mawr and the surrounding areas
Flexsys Ruabon site’s Emergency Alarm System will be tested on:
MONDAY 14th April 2008 at 2.15pm
Three sirens will be tested:
1. Fire Siren The “Fire” siren is a steady ‘air raid’ type sound that
continues for 10 second and which is tested every Monday.
2. Major Accident Siren The “Major Accident” siren is an undulating, rising and falling
sound that will be activated for several minutes. This siren is
activated to warn neighbours of a major incident on site and
that they will need to take action.
3. All Clear The “All Clear” siren is a continuous sound lasting for a few
minutes and is activated to advise neighbours that the
situation is completely safe.
THIS IS A TEST ONLY
NO ACTION IS REQUIRED BY LOCAL RESIDENTS
